About

Welcome to the website of entrepreneurship research and education at the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics (INO). This website is intended for anyone with an interest in the entrepreneurship area inside or outside INO.

To find out more about the department please go to our website at www.cbs.dk/ino.

Background:

Long before the Danish government called for more activities in the entrepreneurship area, CBS included entrepreneurship in its strategy, and is currently investing heavily in the area, both in research, in teaching and in extracurricular activities.

In this way, CBS is building the bridges between research, education and applied activities; between academia, business life and public authorities; between scholars, students and the business world. With all these activities, CBS is the strongest player amongst the institutions in Denmark dealing with entrepreneurship, and is well placed to advance this position to the benefit of the entire society. CBS has ambitions to take advantage of the unique combination of an already very strong research base and a large and capable body of students to set the highest global standards for universities in the entrepreneurship area. This is done by aggressively training and hiring researchers for the area, from PhD students to professors and building new programs in entrepreneurship, with the BBIP (BioBusiness and Innovation Program) master’s program, and the bachelor program in Entrepreneurship and Business Development.

By combining research, teaching and the ability to engage with different stake holders nationally and internationally, it is the goal of the department to take CBS research and teaching in entrepreneurship to the next level, and thereby providing the high-quality services to the Danish society that are needed to sustain growth and welfare.
